Philosophy
Heal Through Words Utilizing Our Three Step System:
educate - empower - energize
EDUCATE:
Whether we are working with you personally through your wellness journey or with your corporation through consultation everything is permeated by the transference of knowledge. We have a wealth of experience and education, and are committed to share information in a digestible and relevant form, to equip others to be increasingly more confident in their own understanding.
EMPOWER:
At Spirit Over Flesh, LLC we believe you are your own best healer, educator and leader from within. We encourage you to utilize your own internal compass to become more aware, autonomous and confident as you navigate your holistic well-being and interaction with self and others.
ENERGIZE:
Now it's time for action! We believe in a hands-on, dynamic approach so prepare for application. What's the use of education and empowerment without implementation? For our athletes this will involve manual modalities. For our corporate accounts interaction is key, jut know that one-way lecturing will not be the mode of delivery.
Our Servant Leader
Tiandra M. Finch, educator and healer.
With a great wealth of formal education, extensive experience and spiritual giftings, Tiandra is eager to serve others with a holistic approach representative of her purpose and passion within health, wellness and total well-being.
Earning a bachelors in Athletic Training from Capital University (Columbus, Ohio), she has more than ten-years certified (ATC) and Ohio licensed as an athletic trainer.
ATC's are allied health and rehabilitation professionals licensed under the same entity as a physical therapist and occupational therapist in Ohio. You do not have to be an athlete in the traditional sense to benefit from the services she provides through the scope of the profession. Anyone who is active and mobile (or with the desire to be) can benefit from the prevention, evaluation, assessment, rehabilitation, therapy and return to activity guidance an ATC can provide.
Finch holds a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, MBA and Post-Graduate Certificate in Sport Management from Wright State University (Dayton, Ohio). She has served in higher education as both administrator and faculty designing and teaching courses inclusive of pre-medicine, academic enrichment and upper level recreation and sport management. She created original programming for Ohio University - Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, facilitated at a community open event at Cleveland Clinic, and in 2017 created and facilitated a course at Marion Correctional Institution (MCI). At MCI she designed a 9 month program on behalf of Total Image Empowerment, Inc. for a cohort transitioning out of the medium-security, male state penitentiary that has maintained an impressive success rate of zero percent recidivism.
She has experience working at the NCAA National Office and with a contractor who served professional affiliations such as the NBA Rookie Program, PGA and LPGA. Most recently, Tiandra officially became an emerging artist with her first publication Give Flowers When They're Due - an Ode to Black History, which is just one installment of a developing series.
Tiandra is a dynamic facilitator, is intentional about and effortless in connecting with each individual within her reach. She has great insight and a positive, solution-oriented perspective that has proven beneficial to a wide array of entities and institutions.
